While most people would enjoy a spectacular view, Caroline is likely to be found hovering around a tree trunk or kneeling by a lake. Her oil paintings hold intricate moments of beauty, creating a surface to explore and experience things often passed by, overlooked or stepped on.
Caroline Stanley graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2007. Since then she has continued as a full time artist in her studio at the Burns Visual Arts Society. In 2013 Caroline’s nature works were chosen to be featured exclusively in the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Calgary Stampede Dream Home where the quality of her paintings was noted as being “amazing”.
Caroline has always been a curious explorer, fascinated by colour, pattern and detail. While most people would enjoy a spectacular view, she is likely to be found hovering around a tree trunk or kneeling by a lake. Her unique way of capturing nature in saturated realism focuses on the ordinary and simultaneously extraordinary. Each piece grasps an intricate ounce of beauty that extends a moment to explore the simple wonders of life we may otherwise sweep past.
Since graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2007, she has continued her painting practice full time at the Burns Visual Arts Society. Here she plays with paint, dances to Michael Jackson and occasionally takes a nap on her studio floor.
Her artwork continues to gain recognition nation wide and is eagerly sought after by art and outdoor lovers for its unique take on ‘landscape’ and vivid views of nature.
